A Night at the Bar

So you wanna know my story? Tell ya what, buy a drink and I'll indulge you. Why am I pouring two? Can't have you drinking alone, now can I? Where was I? Oh right.I guess it started over a century ago, but that's the boring bit, ain't it? Everyone's got childhoods, you grow up, you learn stuff, you get bigger. If it helps put things in frame for you, I hale from the jungles in the southern bit of Othard - What you all call the 'Far East' to my endless delight. It wasn't terribly far for me.Anyways, I've always had an affinity with The Wanderer, and one day I decided the world was a lot larger than my little corner of the jungle and I wanted to see it. There wasn't really anything tying me down, so I left.Another ale? Me too. Moonrise, you know. The ale, that is. You might have noticed my interest in the heavens - I do make it obvious, don't I? Oh right, how long have I been wandering, that's what you wanted to know. I'm gonna be honest, I haven't a clue, kinda stopped keeping track after the first seventy years or so. The important bit is how many brews I've samples, and, ok, you've got me there too... drink doesn't do the best things for the memory, I suppose. That's alright, because it does wonderful things for my quality of life, and that's what matters.Would you believe I still don't get hangovers? Well believe it. Speakin of which, you're looking close to empty. I'll pour us another, don't worry, this one's on me. What was that? Well, aren't you a cheeky one. Ahem. I lost track again. Your fault this time. The bar! That's right. I've been running this place for a few years now, and it's the longest I've managed to hold any job. Guess it helps that I'm not too keen on firing myself just yet. The day'll come though - like I said, not the biggest on sticking around any place too long, and I hear rumors of travel opening up to the, ah, 'Far West' if you will.I guess this'll make the last one for us tonight. Not that it's too late or anything... I just seem to have run out. I promise this doesn't normally happen, so you'll have to promise to come back again.
